
SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 38

Requesting the Commissioner of the Division of Highways name those
certain parallel bridges which cross the Elk River and West
Virginia Route 4 on Interstate 79 near Frametown as the
"Charles Kenton Meadows, Sr. Bridge".

Whereas, Charles Kenton Meadows, Sr., has owned and operated
the Kenton Meadows Construction Company in Gassaway, West Virginia,
for over sixty years; and

Whereas, Charles Kenton Meadows, Sr., is a respected veteran,
citizen and businessman in Braxton County where his family has
resided for many years; and

Whereas, The construction company of Charles Kenton Meadows,
Sr. built the parallel bridges which cross West Virginia Route 4 and the Elk River on Interstate 79 near Frametown; therefore, be it

Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That the Legislature hereby requests the Commissioner of the
Division of Highways designate those certain parallel bridges which
cross the Elk River and West Virginia Route 4 on Interstate 79 near
Frametown as the "Charles Kenton Meadows, Sr., Bridge"; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Commissioner of the Division of
Highways is requested to have made and be placed, at either end of
each of the parallel bridges, signs identifying the bridge as the
"Charles Kenton Meadows, Sr., Bridge"; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the Senate is hereby
directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Commissioner
of the Division of Highways and to the capitol press corps.
